One last detail from the mall this time around. There are two malls close to where I live. I guess I’m lucky there are two. I wouldn’t get this kind of image at the other one.

The mall is called Fields – kind of strange with an English name in Denmark. It opened nine years ago. They tried to pay attention to detail and in general I would say it’s a succes.

After I was done shooting garden gnoms (I love that sentence…) I walked around the almost empty mall with my camera. I found enough to photograph to remind me to come back another day before the shops open.

My cell phone rang. “What are you doing?” “Shooting garden gnomes at the mall.” “What?”
I needed photos of garden gnomes for one of my canvas work. Not this one, but I thought it was pretty fun.

This is my New Year’s greeting to everyone, old friends, new friends, and the ones I haven’t met yet. Light a candle and shine bright where ever you are. Respect others for their journey and be your own light. In darkness even one candle makes a difference. Namaste.

This shot is from the Lucia celebration at my children’s school. On the 13’th they walk around with candles singing songs to the Italian saint Santa Lucia. For some reason she is very popular as part of the Christmas celebration on Scandinavia. Perhaps because she is associated with light at the darkest time of the year.
