Did I say I was finished with Rome? Well, I have one little series of four images left. It’s an experiment in capturing the feel of a place in a series of ‘same motive’, shallow depth of field images. It’s not my first time and I’m sure it won’t be my last.

I found on New Year’s Eve that for photographing fireworks it’s not always what you see that adds the most to the overall effect – sometimes the best effect is what is not illuminated.
