Fitting for a café, former bar, in a building housing the King when he wanted to shoot swans on Øresund, there are many old memorabilia to talk about at Kystens Perle

I know artificial light can do wonders for images. I see many examples. But it just doesn’t interest me in the least. I don’t even have a flash other than what’s built into the camera – and I always forget to use it even though I know I can turn down the volume. I guess it’s just more interesting to me to work with what is there. Perhaps when I have learned enough by studying natural light I will feel like adding some.

Winter in Denmark 1, 2013

People who have followed my blog for a while may have noticed I tend to show summer images in the winter and visa versa. I guess I like the contrast and also the distance that sometimes makes me see better. The initial euphoria over what I captured has passed. It also gives me a chance to relive the occasion one more time rather than get it all over at once.

This is why I pulled out my Winter file while I’m sitting here sweating. Proudly Presenting: Winter 2013
