Did I mention my son and I visited ‘Din nye ven’ to eat cakes? It’s one thing we have in common. We love cakes. This blond and blue eyed decendant of the vikings is 12 years old. You mostly see his strawberry blond sister in my pictures but that’s because only a delicious cake can make him look like this on film.

‘Din nye ven’ means Your New Friend. It is the name of a café in the center of Copenhagen I accidentially visited with my son earlier this year. Fortunately I had brought my camera as I loved the quant interior. This particular shot was chosen for my English business cards almost on the spur of the moment. I just like it, can’t tell you why.
Not quite – it’s the local furnace plant where they burn all the house hold trash to make electricity.
Once again, I could never wear these – not even for a single step – but, boy, would I like to just have them to look at…
I could never in a thousand years wear shoes like this. But I would like to hang them on my wall as the pieces of art I consider them to be.
Before I went to shoot I had an idea that I wanted to do stilettos and I had an idea about how I wanted to do it. I think it turned out pretty well…
I really had fun exploring what depth of field – or lack of the same – can do for you.
In real time these shots are about one month old. I visit the building site pretty much once a week, and every time I think it won’t be possible reduce what’s left further. Once I got over the initial shock of how much of the building was to be removed, my thoughts are mostly concerned with if I might still find something to photograph. I always do but among other things this project has turned out to be a great exercise for me in finding motives even when I think there isn’t a single one.
