The first Sankt Nikolaj Church was built in the 13’th century. It’s the third oldest church in Copenhagen. Consider that… About 900 years old and there are two churches that are older!
Saint Nikolaj Church lies in the very center of Copenhagen but just like another of the most central churches, Helligåndskirken, is no longer functions as one. Today it serves as an exhibition hall. It also houses a café with outdoor serving on a quiet, leafy square just of Strøget, the main shopping street.
I brought my camera with me on a day in the early fall when I was shopping for art supplies and had fun with the towers.
