The name of the café translates to The Pearl of The Coast. I can agree with that now though not very many years ago it was a smokey bar.

On a day in March my husband, daughter and I went for coffee at Kystens Perle (the son stayed at home by his computer :-)). The café is situated in a building from 1749 within sight of the Copenhagen Airport and a five minute walk from the new aquarium, The Blue Planet.
I brought my camera along to practice with my still new 50 mm. prime lense (a lense where you can’t zoom). All images in this series were shot with this 50 mm. 1.8G lens, natural light only.

I find church organs fascinating So much sound! A bit intimidating as well so someone who can barely remember where C is on a piano.

I also had the chance to get close to the organ. There was actually a lot of clutter there but some shallow depth of field and close-up always helps when that’s the case (except in my house…)

I volunteer as photographer for a small monthly paper – no secrets there. For now I’m having a lot of fun being asked to photograph places, people and events I wouldn’t normally have considered. One such place/event was a 25’th anniversary at one of the parish churches.
The actual event was last Sunday but I wanted to be well prepared so I visited the church ahead of time and took the opportunity to take images just for my own sake. I’ll be sharing these over the next couple of days.
