We always browse through all event sites when we are on vacation. This past summer a vintage car event turned up at a Sonoma vinery. I jumped at the chance of shooting some true beauty with my camera.

It’s a good thing I took enough images I consider worth while showing this summer. Because it’s blowing like crazy outside these days, freezing and there’s is no light. As far as I can recall I saw the sun through the clouds briefly four days ago. In thory a photographer can always find something to photograph but I’m finding it real hard this days…
At least I can recall summer, rhubarb icecream and vacation by working with images from a warmer season.

Don’t think I’m done with images from The Bay Area 🙂 But before I continue I want to take you on a trip in time and destination to look at cars.
My first model hangs out at Amager Beach by my favorite ice cream place. Not quite the drop dead looks you’ll see later but lots of personality.

One of my fondest memories from the fair was asking directions from two police officers. We were getting a bit tired from walking back and forth through the fair ground in the heat and wanted to make sure we were heading the right way to hear Weird Al Yankovic.
I remember Weird Al from my year at college in the early 80’ies with classic spoofs like ‘Girls just wanna have lunch, ‘Like a surgeon’ and ‘Fat’. A later favorite is ‘Armish paradise’. For some reason my son had taken a liking to him even without knowing the original versions of the songs. And here was a chance to see him live!
We got talking to the officers and what amazed them above anything else was that a family from Denmark would know about Weird Al. We all parted on a very happy note.

The fair was a great palce for taking colourful photos. Less heat and smaller crowds would have been better – for me 🙂
