No way I would even consider taking off my sweatshirt but kids can be surprisingly hardy when it comes to making the most of water and sand. Note that the surfers in the background are wearing wet suits.

At home, going to the beach means the weather will be the same as at our house, and if it’s nice and warm there’ll be plenty of playing in the sand and shallow water.

In Marin you never know what you are going to find once you get to Muir Beach. Chances are it’ll be windy, cloudy, misty at times and the sound of the waves will be accompanied by the clatter of the children’s teeth as they run around in their bathing suits.

As a rare treat you get two for one this time. I couldn’t decide which one to use but the photoes are too alike to warrent separate posts. Juping down was my daughter’s idea after a while of climbing up and down the wall while I was photographing. In the distance you can just make out a tall white structure to the right – that is Turning Torso in Malmø, Sweden.
