This is a First for this blog. I want to share one of the series that lives on my portfolio site. The darkness of winter is falling and frankly I find it quite depressing to have to wake up in pitch black. So to cheer myself – and perhaps others with me – up a bit I’ve decided to run ‘Signs of Spring’. It consists of 21 images shot between late February and mid-April in 2012. Enjoy 🙂
Trees don’t need leaves on them to capture the eye.
After a couple of days in Ventura Beach – a place we could return to – we headed back north. We didn’t go straight, though. We went to Carmel. I have been to San Francisco more than 20 times but never made it that far south before.
Ah, now this is classical Stinson Beach imagery! The mist lifted and the tree by the showers looks great as always. Less magical, perhaps, and then again… I didn’t see the bird until I came home and looked through the photos. No sign of it while I was there.
You know, I like spring better than summer. I love the promise of things to come, of days being warm and not hot – and of hoping for sunny days rather than rainy days! This is, after all, Denmark with our costal climate…
Trying to remember if these are apple or cherry blossoms… Pretty none the less.
This tree grows in our garden. I have no idea what it’s called and for the most of the year it’s just there. But once a year it blooms for a few days and looks unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
One of the best things about spring in my oppinion are the flowering trees…
Green is great but I kinda look forward to seeing the structure of the branches again like here before the leaves disturbed the graphic lines.
I never notied before I began photographing for real how beautiful trees are without leaves.
