As you can see the walls of the building were pretty much now down. I guess they could not fit into the restauration. I was kinda sorry to see them gone but mostly because of the serenity I had felt during the previous visit to the sight.
Earlier this year I posted images from the abandoned building on Amagerbrogade that was due to be renovated. All the first images were from my first sessions where I spent time in the empty building – empty of pretty much everything except I did find quite a few details to photograph. When I returned to the site a week later, it looked like above.
The beech is the national tree in Denmark. I know nothing finer than the bright green colour of the newly hatched leaves. Supposedly you can even eat them. You can certainly pet them as they are ever so soft and covered in a thin layer of ‘hair’ before they mature.
You know, I like spring better than summer. I love the promise of things to come, of days being warm and not hot – and of hoping for sunny days rather than rainy days! This is, after all, Denmark with our costal climate…
