On a fortunate morning in February, there was frost on the ground and fog in the air. I couldn’t get the kids to school fast enough, threw my camera in my car, and headed straight for the beach. I was hoping the fog would hold and it did. This is from the lawn behind the marina by the beach. The round doughnut looking things are orange benches.
Strictly speaking this image is from last fall, not winter. But I don’t have any other fall images. This is a wonderful example of why it’s worth it for me to always carry my DSLR. I found this just outside my regular café and the camera was in the car – not sitting uselessly at home 🙂

This is part of the view you have while you eat your ice cream next to the airport.
Okay, this is not the actual ice cream cone and probably just as well 🙂
Few would guess that you can eat home made ice cream by the marina less than a mile from Copenhagen Airport. How’s that for a stop over? 🙂
I brought my Holga lens with me on a trip to one of the local ice cream places – by the water but even closer to the airport, surrounded by sail boats rather than swimmers.
I’m not a guy so I don’t find women in bathing suits all that interesting in their own right 🙂 I like something like this better…
I like the mood the sun light and the silhouette brings to the otherwise fairly well known scene.
One more detour before I return to the Holga lens… Just before we left on vacation to the US, I was hanging out with a friend of mine by the beach one evening. Having young children I don’t often make it out after dinner so I made sure to bring my camera.
My friend wondered why I was shooting into the sun until I showed her on the camera what I captured.
