This alley caught my eye purely by chance. I’m not even sure I could find it again. Apart from it being far too clean, this must be what streets often looked like in the old days.

This is the first time on this blog I’ve covered the main landmark of Christianshavn – the tower of The Church of Our Savior (Vor Frelser Kirke). It is possible to walk up the spiral staircase and you might be able to make out the people on the picture.

Irish Coffee
It doesn’t happen that often but this shot was taken at my home. Peter produced the perfect Irish coffee, and I wanted to test the Nikon’s performance in flash-free candle light. The coffee tasted as good as it looks…

Amager Beach 7 – 2012
The water between Denmark and Sweden is very shallow. This is the reason for the construction to the right. It’s a pier for jumping in the water and for tanning out of the wind. The construction is a pretty amazing piece of architecture and I need to go back one day with my camera and spend some time.

Rubies and gold
18K gold, 164 rubies – handmade in India.
This two-for-one post celebrates two things – my camera and my bracelet. I wanted to show my bracelets to on-line friends at Pearl-Guide.com. I merely took the bracelet, hung it on the rosebush, pushed the release botton twice and it came out this beautiful. I don’t think it’s possible to go back from DSLR.
I bought the bracelet in India – in Chennai. Though the jewlery stores there are five stories high, I found this unique piece with 164 bezel set little rubies in an artisan shop, Amethyst – a combined caf and artisan store set in a lush, tropical garden.
If your sharp eye notice that some rubies appear to be missing, you are quite right. A few of them has fallen out.

Last picture from Tivoli this time around… Tivoli has their own music corp marching through the garden every day, playing their instruments. I wasn’t prepared but heard the music, raised my camera, and got just one single shot before the orchestra went up on the central stage.
And this is one of the things I loooove my DSLR camera. One shot, one chance, auto everything -and it comes out like this.

Did I mention that Tivoli is full of quirky details? Like two horses high up on a wall… I find this motive wonderfully surreal and I love the texture of the artifical rock face contrasted with the shiny horse heads.
